Jezza Williams
Adaptive Adventure Expert & Consultant
From humble Kiwi country-kid beginnings with a wilderness playground at his doorstep, to a world traveller, international outdoor guide and expert in adventure tourism, it was clear from the get-go that Jezza Williams was a born adventurer.
But there was a greater, higher calling and an even more incredible journey ahead when a split-second twist of fate – a life changing canyoning accident in the Swiss Alps, would transform Jezza’s life for ever.
But true to character he would not let a loss of all independence let his disability take control and has never stopped pushing the limits and ever moving forward, became the first tetraplegic to complete the 26,000 km Mongol Rally from London to Mongolia and back again, and is New Zealand’s first tetraplegic solo paragliding pilot.
And now, ten years on from catastrophic injury, Jezza has established himself as a leading worldwide expert in inclusive tourism and travel and without question, as THE leading advocate, innovator, and educator in the art of inclusive adaptive adventure. In that arena he reigns supreme.
Through his New Zealand based adaptive inbound adventure operation.. Makingtrax, Jezza now helps to transform other adventure companies across the globe by educating and when necessary designing and/or acquiring adaptive equipment to make their activities possible to all abilities. His is the kite mark of excellence and now as a member of the Inclu Consulting team of world-class Solutionists we bring this unique resource and route to accreditation to our supply partners seeking to make their adventures accessible and inclusive to everyone who would seek to experience the thrills of white water rafting, kayaking, skydiving, jet boating, skiing, climbing, caving, paragliding, boarding, bungy and swing, 4 x 4 and quad biking, scuba diving and beyond… if only they believed they could!
