Chris Cammiss

Access Auditing

Chris Cammiss graduated from Manchester University, followed the hippy trail across the States and then trained to be a school teacher. His long career as a Maths and Science teacher culminated in him becoming Head of Department in a number of inner city schools.

Nothing out of the ordinary there… But Chris contracted polio at seven years of age and is a full-time wheelchair user. Marriage, children, wheelchair basketball, marathons and a full work schedule means he leads a full on life.

Chris found a niche advising venues on their access when he became a long-term volunteer at the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester.

He delivers courses in disability awareness and equality and also carries out complex access audits around the UK.

This is one busy, busy man and we’re delighted to have him onboard!
